Mumbai Gladiators
The Mumbai Gladiators are a men's professional American football team from Mumbai, India, slated to play in the Elite Football League of India. The Gladiators will be playing their inaugural season in late 2012, although league officials have planned to hold all matches in Pune for the first year.
The Mumbai Gladiators competed in the EFLI's first season. The EFLI is India's first professional American football league, and its launch is backed by the Government of India and the Sports Authority of India. The 2015 season schedule had not yet been announced as of November 23rd 2015.
The team's debut match and final match will incidentally be the EFLI's first ever match and the final match of the league's inaugural season, respectively. The Gladiators began their 2013 season by playing against the now defunct Pune Black Tigers and finished in 2013 against the Hyderabad Skykings
